Since I do not drink I need help from those who do. I have started buying wine from time to time for my guests. And an occasional bottle of Liquor.
I will be adding a medium to small sized wine rack that has a table on top and a drawer for any accessories. Can Liquor bottles be stored the same way as the wine? On the rack? Or do they need a different storage system?
Thanks in advance.

It really depends on a couple of factors:
1) Do your liquor bottles have corks or screw-caps?
2) Are your liquor bottles open?
3) How long to you plan to keep your liquor?
If you’ve got any one of the many, many screw-cap brands of liquor, and it’s unopened, then yeah, storing it on it’s side is no big deal whatsoever.
If it’s a screw-cap and opened, I’d be careful, you might leak some of your booze (albeit very slowly) onto the floor.
If it’s got a cork, and you plan on drinking the bottle in it’s entirety within a short time span of purchasing it, you could probably get away with storing it on it’s side… but it’s not the best idea. Spirits, with their high alcohol contentactuallyl break down cork, which can lead to off-flavors in your beverages or even (if stored long enough) break the seal and cause them to leak.
It is generally customary to store your liquor bottles in an upright position. You’d be better off letting them sit on a shelf or in a cabinet as opposed to on a wine rack.

Yes you can store liquor in the same way as wine. Just if it’s a refrigerating wine rack I strongly suggest what ever you put in it, keep it in until you finish it. It is no good to change the temperature of alcohol several times, it is best to keep it at a constant temperature.

Most wine bottles are about the same sized and shape so wine racks work great. Liquor bottles are all different shapes and sizes so a lot of them won’t really fit in a wine rack. They pretty much need to be upright so your options are a liquor cabinet or a shelf unless you can come up with something better.
