Wine Glasses,I want to write names on wine glasses to use as escort "cards" at a wedding, but want to use something that will show up (gold color), but without having to heat set them in the oven.

You could etch them. I did it for my best friends wedding. I went to Michaels craft store bought some contact paper, exacto knife, and etching acid. I printed out the names on the comp with a pretty script & then traced it onto the contact paper & then cut it out. Did the etching acid & they were so pretty. It is white but I bet you could paint over the etching with some kind of paint or pigment.

If you are getting your crystal though a department store, you can ask them to have this done. If not check with a Jewelery store with a good rep.

At Michaels Crafts store they have a sand etching kit. I used this kit for my own wedding. it came with cursive tracing letters that my husband etched onto wine glasses. It took a few Saturdays to complete, but was well worth it.

Etching answers are good. You cn also buy paint for glass at Michaels. Some need to be baked in your home oven, others don’t. You can bake glass at low temps.
