    Believe it or not, alcohol actually impairs sleep. Because alcohol is so complex and contains so much sugar and carbs, your body has a difficult time actually resting while sleeping because it is using so much energy to process the alcohol. If you want to sleep soundly, I would suggest a decaf tea (Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Extra) and a warm shower. Your body will rest much better and you won’t be sleepy again tomorrow, where enough wine may knock you out, but you will be tired and hungover tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

    I have read it different times but it is said a person should not use alcohol to assist in sleeping.
    Personally, I have found a dry red wine does the trick for me (whichever red wine you prefer). After the second glass, I’m ready for the Sandman. I sleep well and don’t wake up with a hangover because I haven’t drank that much.
    If you are already tired, one glass may do the trick for you.

    I like a glass of port in the evening. Port is a fortified wine that is classified as a dessert wine. I like the Californian Ficklin ruby port, as well as Dow Ruby port from Portugal. Both are affordable and filled with chocolatey and cherry-like flavors and…..Affordable. unlike a wine, you can open a bottle and enjoy it for weeks.

    You want to go to sleep, then listen, first have a nice warm bath, find some nice relaxing music,pop into to bed. Lie on your back and think to yourself your body is full of sand. Your whole body is so heavy . Your legs are heavy , your arms are heavy the sand is in your body. Now think your body is full of little holes,the sand is slowly pouring from the holes in your body relax, think how heavy the sand is , slowly slowly the sand is pouring from the holes how heavy your body feels think how relaxed you feel.sand , sand. Try for yourself you will soon fall asleep without the wine Good night
