My family and I are planning for the holiday and I wanted to get a good bottle of wine for the adults to drink. I was told white wine was good, but I was also concerned about the sulfates. Is there a good quality brand of white wine that doesn’t have sulfates, and is reasonably priced at two to three years old.

I think a Reisling would go good with turkey- if you have a cost plus world market-around you- this is the best place to get a reasonably priced/great tasting wine- the people who work there taste test the wines and they pretty much, always make great recommendations.
I bought a 7 dollar cab there, the same exact bottle/year cost about 45.00 at the restaurant across the street.

I like Eco Domani Pino Grigio… it’s not expensive at all and it’s nice and buttery. If you’re not a wine snob, it’s a good man for the job.
My sister prefers Camus Conundrun… and it’s really nice.
BUT I would say, if you like red, to go for a Red Zin! Not white zin… Red Zin! It’s got a lot of berry and cherry flavors, it’s a nice rich red, and it’s juicy! Good juicy wine! If you can find one from Veeder Mountains, California, go for it! It’s good good stuff!!!

My favorite with roasted turkey is Beaujolais Nouveau. I know, it’s not a white wine, but it goes very well with turkey. It has a nice crisp, clean flavor, very fresh & fruity, similar acidity to cranberries. My recommendation would be Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau, which will be officially released for sale on the third Thursday of November, just in time for Thanksgiving Day.

Don’t want to get creepy – but where do you live?
Wine selection varies with your area, and so does the possibility of having it shipped to you. (I just learned all these weird laws about how every state has different laws about shipping alcohol.)
All organic wines should be sulfite free. These were the main organic wineries I found: Frey Vineyards, Organic Wine Works, La Rocca Vineyards in Forest Ranch (Butte County) and Coates Vineyards in Orleans (Humboldt County)
It’s not mentioned – but "Bonterra" from Ukiah, California is also organic, and it’s pretty good wine.
I usually serve a sauvignon blanc for Thanksgiving Dinner. It has always pleased even picky wine drinkers.

If you and your guests prefer dry white wines, Chardonnay is a natural choice with turkey. Sauvignon Blanc or a White Burgundy also pairs well with everything from mashed potatoes to green salad to a spicy turkey stuffing.
If your guests prefer their wines on the sweet side, White Zinfandel is an all-purpose favorite. Gewurztraminer is always a good holiday match, and a slightly sweet Riesling would also pair well.
If red wines are normally your favorite, Pinot Noir is the perfect red for Thanksgiving. It is more robust than white wine. Serve it slightly chilled to bring out the fruit, and it will not overpower your meal.

Reisling is good. Either that or a good Cab. You don’t need to buy anything expensive. I found that cheap wines are just as good.

Here’s 3 good choices that you could probably find without too many problems:
Concannon 2005 Limited Release Pinot Noir
The Limited Release Pinot Noir is rich in both color and fragrance. This medium-bodied wine displays vibrant aromas of black cherry, ripe raspberry and strawberry as well as bright red fruit flavors that are balanced with hints of tar, leather and vanilla. This cool climate Pinot Noir has an interminable finish. ($12.79)
Greg Norman Estates NV Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir – Champagne & Sparkling
The wine is a pale straw green in color and it has a very fine, yet persistent bead. On the nose there are lifted strawberry, citrus and nutty aromas with just a hint of sherbet character. On the palate it is a medium to full bodied style with generous stonefruit and citrus flavors and a very smooth, yet generous finish. ($17.99)
Columbia Winery 2006 Gewurztraminer
Pale straw yellow color. Hints of allspice and pink grapefruit accent the sweet fruit palate. Crisp finish with a good balance of acidity. This is a nice Thanksgiving wine at a great price and will be liked by many. ($8.29)
