Vintage Wine,i want a bottle of santa margherita pinot grigio. do i want a 2002,2003, 2004 or 2005? the 2005 seems to cost a few $$ more. would it taste better than the earlier vintage?

Pinot Grigio is a great wine. I would go for either the 2003 or 2004.

Santa Margherita was the maker that actually introduced the current style of pinot grigio back in 1961. It’s not bad wine — maybe overpriced, for what it is. Pinot grigios of roughly the same quality can go for as little as $10-15, if they’re from smaller or less reknowned winemakers.
The folks that did this review:

seem to like the 2002, for what that’s worth. I would imagine that they’d be fairly consistent year-to-year — Santa Margherita is a pretty big producer that blends grapes from many different vineyards to keep up a consistent "house style."
