Please if someone can answer before Valentines day. I am trying to prepare a nice candlelit dinner for my Husband. Also what other drink is good for dessert. It’s going to be dipped strawberries, but I don’t know what drink. Please what type of wine. Thank you.

With the main course try a Chardonnay or a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, or other similar whites
For dessert…champagne served with strawberries is the romantic way to go

White wine is good for fish
Red wine is good for beef
Rose or White Zinfandel is good for pasta

A white pinot would be nice w/ shrimp and pasta.
For dessert, have a good shiraz orCab Merlot to go w/ that chocoalte. Mmmm

If the sauce is red, try a good chianti.
If it is a white sauce, try pinot grigio.
For dessert try an ice wine. It is a high sugar wine and is sweet. It is actually like a dessert in itself.
Another good choice would be champagne and dipped strawberries served in the bedroom later on.

i think this all depends on your sauce, and what kind of wines you like. I like sweet wine and the Verdi, is really good its an italian spumante wine. ( sparkling)

Try a dry Chablis for the shrimps. A nice sweet wine like Sauternes would be the ideal wine for dessert.
Bon appétit et santé!!!

A nice light red or if you do not like red a dry white

Seafood and plain pasta (not a tomato or meat sauce) calls for a white wine. (Red ??? Wrong Everyone)
I’d suggest a Riesling…which is also a very good dessert wine.
If you don’t want wine for dessert, try Amaretto. It’s great with strawberries !

A nice white wine with a slightly sweet taste.
Maybe Black Tower, it’s a nice wine and is reasonably priced.

White wine for the meal, and Inniskillin ice wine for dessert, it is such a decadent treat, trust me!!!!
Red is kind of a ridiculous with pasta or seafood as a GENERAL rule.

Try a nice white Zinfandel….also, you might want to find a liquor superstore and ask the oldest employee you can find (they usually know more) about desert wines to go with your strawberries. Hope this helps.
