Burgundy with Sprite would be a wine cooler. Wine coolers are made with soda like that, whereas spritzers are made with wine and plain soda water with perhaps a slice of lime.
I’ve not heard of wine coolers being brewed. They are easily made in the convenience of your own home.
a wine cooler is a malt beverage, like a seagrams or bartles and jaymes. it generally contains some wine, fruit juice, a carbonated beverage and soda. i don’t typically consider this wine at all. i consider it in the same group as beverages like smirnoff or mike’s hard lemonade. since the early 1990s however, I don’t think any wine cooler actually contains any wine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_cooler
a wine spritzer is made with wine with only actual white wine and soda (tonic, club or sprite). this is not something you can buy in a bottle at the store. you make it yourself with wine and soda. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spritzer
