OMG, I love Rosa Regale too! Highly recommended. Since that wasn’t an original suggestion, what I wanted to add to that was to make it an extra-special gift, have the bottle engraved with their names and the date. Makes a nice momento.
I’m not very educated in different wines, but a few years ago I found Rosa Regale – a fabulous red dessert wine. Even people who don’t like reds love this! It is a sweet sparkling wine, but it goes well with meals as well as desserts. We are planning on serving this at our wedding next fall. Many places only stock it for Christmas/Valentines Day, so if you are interested you might want to ask a local wine shop to order it for you. Good luck!
Champage…the wine of celebration. Veuve Cliquot makes a nice bottle for about $35 but if you want to go big go with their La Grande Dame for about $110. It is delicious.
Chateux neuf du pape the best French wine not sold in most stores in us you can order it on the internet. expensive but you wont regret it its absolutly incredible compare to us wines its like comparing caviar to rocks.
Champagne would be nice – traditionally associated with celebrations. If you’re looking for something extra special you could try a vintage champagne – though it’ll be extra expensive too! Enjoy the day.
Well like anything (or most things) you get what you pay for. Try looking for something a little bit out of the ordinary and ask your local wine merchant for his input.
wedding? champagne! it depends on how much you want to spend. generally speaking, you can get a good bottle of non-vintage champagne for $35-40. my favorite champagne is Krug. and the 1996 vintage will be released very soon. (1996 was a phenominal year) it will probably run between $180-220. for a nice non-vintage try Pierre-Peters, Lilbert, Gaston-Chiquet, or Pierre-Gimonet
I would try to find out if he prefers red or white wine or even the specific varietal of wine he enjoys most. Check out the latest wine pics from Cheers2Wine at : http://www.cheers2wine.com/wine-picks.html

I would suggest getting him a wine made with his favorite grape, maybe from somewhere else. Or get him something comparable and interesting.
