We have a dual zone wine refrigerator and we keep our whites at 55 and our reds at 60. I think you can really tailor it to your own tastes. Some like their whites colder. (Also, many people will tell you that you should keep reds at room temperature, but I went on a wine tour in Europe as part of my honeymoon and was told that they should be chilled to around 60 degrees.)

My ideal temperatures are 40 degrees F. for white and 60 degrees F. for red.

I really recommend this site: 2basnob.com
It has the temps. Each diff type of wine has their own optimal temperature to give the best flavor and stuff. Just be careful about white wines, if you leave them in the fridge, they actually taste disgusting. So if you are going to chill white wine in the fridge, don’t leave it there for more than a day I would say. White wine chilled too long tastes like vinegar! The best way to chill is in a container w/ ice =)

It doesn’t last long enough in my house to put in a fridge
