Wine storage,Am trying to monitor the temperature and humidity in a closet that I think can be used as a wine cellar. Before investing in customized wine racks I want to monitor whether the closet (in the basement) is suitable for long term storage of all kinds of wine. Can anyone recommend a decent wine thermometer? I believe humidity is also a key factor so any gadget that measures both would be ideal.

If I were you, I would check my local cigar shop or online cigar store (ie Thompson cigars or Cigars international). They have specially designed thermometers/hygrometers for humidors that are very nice and probably wouldn’t run you too much.
