A little over a hundred bucks, in the U.S.
However, that assumes that it has been stored correctly for the past 50 years … something that may be quite hard to tell just from looking at it.
Some wine afficionado might be able to examine the thing and tell whether it’s been way too hot, or too cool, etc.
Remember, too — that’s retail price, and you’re not going to see that price unless you open a liquor store. Expect to be offered about half that, or so, depending on whether anyone can tell whether it’s still drinkable.

I don’t know about worth of vintage. But all Chianti used to come with a little brown grass skirt covering, now because they want to make the wine more classy it is in just a regular bottle. As other posters have said a lot depends on storage and if there is cork rot or anything else wrong with the wine. In addition, just because something is old doesn’t make it valuable.
What type of Chianti is it ?
* Chianti Classico
* Chianti Montalbano
* Chianti Colli Fiorentini (Florentine hills)
* Chianti Rufini
* Colli Senesi (Siena hills)
* Colline Pisane (Pisan hills)
* Colli Aretini (Arezzo hills)
What does the bottle say ? Is it from Italy ? What company/house produced it ? Also, not to nitpick or be rude but you left out an i in Chianti.
