I chilled a bottle of champagne for a party and didn't use it. Can I return it to storage?

Wine storage,If I return it to the wine cellar and rechill it later, will it lose any of the taste? It has not been opened at all. Please answer only if you really know! Thanks!

Yes. Just put it back in storage, and then back in the fridge to chill it before serving.

This happens all the time – don’t worry, wine is a lot more robust than many give it credit for.

And when you open it I wouldn’t ‘let it rest’ as someone else advises- hell no! Pour and enjoy it straight away.

It is always wise to have a glass close by when opening Champagne and to pour immediately on opening in case its a bit frisky. Better in a glass than wasted spilled on the floor

    Cheers

Yes, as long as it was not opened.

It is perfectly O.K to put it back in the cellar, but if you intend to open it then you should let it "rest" for about 5 minutes before pouring.

Absolutely, you can return it to the wine cellar & rechill it later. You haven’t opened it so the flavour is not affected in the slightest.

yes you can as it will slowly return to temprature ! its when wine is heated or cooled quickly that you may have a problem !
