Wine Temperature,I was wondering if you have a bottle of red wine at room temperature and you don’t drink it all that day and you are going to have it by the next day, should you put it in the refrigerator or leave it at room temperature. Will it go bad at room temperature?

Never refrigerate–will alter taste. Wine that is "off" turns to (wine) vinegar–so you will know. There are inexpensive devices on the market to get the air out of the bottle (which is what makes the vinegar)–one is a special stopper & a vacuum pump–I recommend getting this if you think you will continue to drink wine periodically–it runs about $4.00. More expensive is a gas replacement system which replaces the air with argon. If you have neither, just replace the cork & store in a cool, dark place & it should be OK the next day (and may be the day after); then its toast. Salud

No. However I am familiar with tow different methods of keeping the wine fresh. One is to use a seal on the bottle that will create a vacuum. Many liquor stores sell these types of devices. The other is that a spray bottle, with a long plastic nozzle is made so that you can shoot the gas that is in the can into the bottle and then place the original cork back into the bottle. This also keeps the air from effecting the wine. As long as the air can’t get to the wine it wills keep for days even weeks.

Hell no. Under no circumstances should you put a bottle of red wine in the fridge unless you don’t plan on finishing it in the next few days.

An opened bottle of red wine can be kept at room temperature for 2-3 days at most before it starts to go nasty.

Put the cork back on and store in the fridge. It will last for about 5 days. When ready to drink, remove from the fridge and let stand at room temp for 20-30 minutes.
